Contract Type: Permanent (6.5 month fixed)

Hours: Average of 31.5 hours per week
4 days on followed by 4 days off shift pattern. (3.5 days p/w average)
8:30am – 6pm (with 30 minute unpaid break
On call whilst on shift rotation Paid as overtime when worked

Pay: £12 p/h each plus overtime.
Free pitch provided for the season including electricity and water.

Contract Dates: Monday 31 March 2025 – Sunday 12 October 2025 (28 weeks)

Paid Holidays: 10 (excluding August)

We are looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic warden pair with a shared tourer/motorhome/camper to join our family-run holiday park near Edinburgh. This role is on a seasonal basis with a hard standing touring pitch provided for the full season, which you will be required to stay in whilst on duty.

The role is based on 4 days on and 4 days off each week.

The role covers reception duties, maintenance and repair work, gardening, occasional cleaning and general operational duties required to support the functioning of the site.

Although generally the responsibilities are split between the two team members, we expect both to be able to carry out basic reception duties including bookings, shop operation, check ins, telephone operations and e mail responses.

Roles & Responsibilities
•Take reservations via the phone and in person.
•Answer the phone in a friendly and professional manner.
•Respond to e mails.
•Shop sales and till operations.
•Shop stock and cleaning stock management.
•Completion of daily, weekly and monthly Health and Safety checklists.
•External cleaning (Service areas, guttering, windows etc)
•Occasionally assist with cleaning duties – Mainly the camping facilities during the winter months.
•Make up self-catering linen bundles for the cleaning team.
•Handle guests’ queries, complaints and feedback in a professional and calm manner.
•Other office and reception tasks as required.
•Gardening and ground maintenance.
•Campsite and Self-Catering Repairs as required.

About Linwater Caravan Park
Opened in 1998, Linwater Caravan Park is a small family run holiday park near Edinburgh that is open all year round for touring, static caravan and lodge holidays. Although we are small, we have been awarded the best caravan park in Scotland in the 2024 Scottish Hospitality Awards and we wish to maintain this level of excellence as our new team grows.
