Chef and Bar Supervisor joint couple required for busy on-site pub.
Bywater Leisure Parks require an energetic couple to assist the pub manager of the Gwernydd Arms Bar & Restaurant.
Situated in beautiful countryside not far from the busy towns of Welshpool and Newtown this lovely country Pub/Restaurant is located on the award winning Gwernydd Hall 5* Caravan Park.
As this is a live-in position accommodation in a modern static caravan is provided as part of the package, employee benefits include company pension, & staff discount, free onsite gym membership, use of the pool and spa (when not being used by owners), the types of benefits that you would expect to find working for a multi award winning company.
This privately run pub and restaurant relies on repeat business which has been built up over the years by our present & past managers and thrives on the local customers as well as the caravan owners, their families and friends. With an open fire and a seating for 100+ people it really has a lot of potential.
We have historically served food 5 days per week (mainly Wednesday night through to Sunday night). Your responsibilities as a couple would be to assist the current pub manager as a bar supervisor whilst the chef would be responsible for cooking simple yet exciting food for the owners and locals alike.
We want you to have a bubbly/happy personality, & to make sure customers have a great experience. Flexibility in hours worked is expected to ensure all aspects of the establishment is running smoothly.
A knowledge of catering, service, hygiene, and kitchen management is advantageous as well as stock control, cellar work, ordering & general IT, customer service skills are essential to serve clients from all walks of life and generations. Training is given for specific knowledge required for this position.
A joint salary of £40,000 for the couple with hours negotiable with free accommodation included, this is also a lifestyle position with the luxury of living and working in an area of outstanding natural beauty, in an award-winning 5* holiday home park.
As well as detailed above the main responsibilities and duties include:
• Hold a personal licence to sell alcohol
• Food Hygiene to a minimum of level 2/3
• Have a proven track record of being able to cook and produce your own menu
• Care about finding, growing, and engaging with the whole team.
• Be passionate about doing the right thing for your staff and your customers.
• Dream big and think differently about new ways to increase sales and growth through food and alcohol sales
• Celebrate and create a buzz by sharing enjoyable experiences.
• Assist the manager in creating weekly accounts
