Are you looking for a varied role within a family-run business?

Last advertised 39 years ago this is a very rare opportunity to have a significant impact on the operation of a busy family run holiday park. We are looking for a proactive people-person to drive the operation of a small maintenance department.

The park is made up of block and timber-frame buildings, built over various decades and a large selection of camping/touring pitches which offer altogether offering a varied nature of work.
The year is split into two parts the open season and closed season. During the closed season, the job will include all aspects of refurbishment and building works associated with park improvements and functionality. This may include projects such as kitchen fitting, or grounds work and will include indoor and outdoor tasks.

During the open season, the job switches focus to park operational tasks and directing a multi skilled team in responding to any customer maintenance queries and repairs. Which will include a wide range of trades skills and will be like those encountered in your home.

It will be your responsibility to ensure any works are carried out under the strictest health and safety guidance and the correct equipment supplied for the team.

This role is crucial to the success of Beachside as it holds the responsibility for the aesthetics and functionality of the whole park therefore attention to detail is crucial.

The type of maintenance work on a holiday park is very varied and as part of a small team of experienced maintenance staff we require a flexible, confident, and friendly communicator to guide the team.

Essential Qualities:
• Extensive experience in building services, maintenance, or the construction industry
• Be hands-on and prepared to get out and about on the park, working on fixes and improvements alongside your team
• Experience in supervising or managing a team
• Excellent organisation and planning skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Experience of maintaining high health and safety standards within a team, including reporting and record keeping
• Flexibility in working hours and days with excellent time management, with out-of-hours flexibility for emergency situations
• Self-motivated, with ability to work under your own initiative alongside guidance from General Manager
• Ability to inspire a small team to ensure accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to complete routine paperwork as required.
• Availability to work weekends (usually April-October).
• Full UK driving licence.
